Dear Friend,

Happy 2009 and Merry (green) Christmas!

We are excited to invite you seasoned green social drinkers (and fresh new faces) to…

Christmas greenUps at The Pond
32 Burton Street, Darlinghurst (just off Oxford Street)
Tuesday, December 1, 2009
6.30pm-late

We want to celebrate Christmas with you: the keen green crew who have galvanised Sydney’s emerging green social scene. Thanks for making it a success. We hope you’ll join us in 2010 to ride the groundswell of support for positive sustainable change.

On Tuesday December 1, 2009, hop down to Oxford Street’s most sustainable (and cool) new watering hole, The Pond. This once-derelict stone cottage just behind Oxford St has been stripped down and reconfigured into an intimate bar/restaurant with salvaged furniture, sustainable materials and a unique sustainable vibe.

The Pond will host this year’s inaugural greenUps Christmas, with an incredible local, seasonal and fresh party buffet, music and room to groove the night away.

End the year on a high and catch up with your greenUps mates. A ticket for this special event is $40. Be quick, there’s limited capacity!

Hope to see you there!

greenUps

GreenUps is Australia’s hippest and most influential green social scene.

Our aim is to help take sustainability from the fringe to the mainstream by providing a fun and accessible informal space where ideas can be shared, connections made  and inspiration found.

We’re hoping to attract a wide range of people, regardless of background. GreenUps is about creating connections. Whether you work in business, science, education, design, media, arts, law, government, NGO, IT, you name it. We’d love to hear what you’re doing, or what you think should be happening when it comes to the environment and sustainability.
